Time is critical. Please contact us immediately. The sooner you are seen, the greater the chance of saving the tooth. Handle the tooth carefully by the crown only (not the root), rinse gently with water if dirty (do not scrub), and try to place it back into the socket the correct way round.
If this is not possible, store the tooth in milk or in water with a pinch of salt and bring it with you.
This is not usually considered an emergency unless the gum is damaged or parts of the tooth remain embedded. Child-appropriate pain relief can be given, and ice lollies may help reduce pain and swelling.
Do not attempt to re-implant a baby tooth, as this could damage the developing adult tooth.
